Killarney Heights Public School mural + paint workshop with 101 kindies.

I would like to begin by expressing my sincere gratitude to Mrs. Tegg, Mrs. Lise Turcotte, the P&C Association, and everyone involved in the tender process for this incredible opportunity.

It was truly remarkable to be part of a school and P&C Association that not only valued art and creativity, but also demonstrated a strong commitment to the well-being of the students and the wider community.

Murals brought identity, belonging, and vibrancy to the spaces, fostering a positive learning atmosphere. I used vibrant colours and a paint-by-numbers style to engage students. I was especially thrilled that all 101 kindergarten students participated in the program with me, gaining firsthand experience painting on a larger scale.

The magic came to life in November 2023.

As part of my process for creating bespoke murals, I first immersed myself in the surroundings. The sketches and images below served as sources of inspiration when I submitted my proposal for the tender, helping me weave a meaningful story. I also developed a clear and structured process to ensure the experience was safe, easy, and enjoyable for everyone involved, including teachers and students, while maximising engagement.
